NIE, Northern Ireland’s Electricity Network Company has launched a brand new website and for the very first time a mobile site for 2012. The sites, designed, developed and hosted by Tibus were constructed with the end user very much at the forefront of the project. NIE wanted to ensure their new site was customer focused. Common enquiries and tasks were therefore made main features on the homepage enabling customers and visitors to report faults, submit their meter readings, contact customer services and find out the latest news.

A new content management system, Kentico CMS gives NIE administrators the ability to easily update the site and even offers advanced functions like activating alerts on the web and mobile sites to provide customers with important information as and when is necessary.

As mentioned, Tibus also provided NIE with their hosting package. A private cloud hosting solution including provision to serve the site from a Content Delivery Network (CDN) during times of extremely high traffic was implemented to ensure everyone could keep up to date with important news relating to them.
