Global Game Jam - University of Ulster
Games
Global Game Jam is the worlds biggest Game Jam event. and for the second year running University of Ulster (Coleraine Campus) will be hosting a jam event. This event will see Interactive Media Arts students collaborate with Computer Science students to create a working prototype for a game in less than 48 hours.
Last year we saw over 20 participants create 4 working games, with all students working on game design elements, Interactive Media Arts students working on the aesthetics and asset creation and Computer Science students programming the finished article. Last years event can be seen here
This is a closed event in terms of participants but we would openly encourage start-ups and experienced game creators to mentor projects during their development (perhaps not for the 48 straight hours) This is a prime opportunity to meet the up and coming talent from these courses and help guide their development.
